What is The Pre Grid?

  • 3+ hours of open track to refamiliarize drivers with the track and to dial in their cars.

  • An 8 lap race where the first 3 laps are consecutive double file race starts. 

    -  Drivers take the green flag and race the first half of the track. The yellow is displayed, safety car is on track and drivers shuffle the starting order to prepare for the next race start. 

    -  After drivers take the third green flag, drivers will complete a 5 lap race.

  • Day 1 concludes with a 35 minute sprint race. To keep thing interesting we’ll throw in at least one single file restart.

The Pre Grid is a driver development program designed to improve the one aspect of motorsport you can’t develop outside of race weekends: RACECRAFT.


DAY 1

  • 3+ hours of open track to refamiliarize drivers with the track and to dial in their cars.

  • A 40 minute qualifying for drivers to practice building a gap and taking care of their tires.

  • Day 2 concludes with a 35 minute sprint race. Again we include at least one restart.

  • For drivers who do not already have a racing license:

    Upon successful completion of the program, and signoff by our group of coaches & officials, Drivers will receive an endorsement for a racing license of their choosing. 

DAY 2

What should I expect?

On Track

  • Group 1: Open to all homologated GT4 & TC cars.

    Group 2: Open to all homologated GT3, Porsche Cup, Super Trofeo, and Ferrari Challenge.

  • No podiums or points either. The goal of these events is to provide an opportunity for driver development.

  • Proper Driving Etiquette and zero contact is non-negotiable. Our Race Control team, lead by Beaux Barfield, will be policing and enforcing driving standards at all times.

  • Safety and driving standards above all. We’re going to be clear, concise, and diligent about the enfocement of both. As for Tech and BOP, that is on you. For those practicing for another series, it’s in your best interest to run to their rules. The choice is yours.

Hospitality

  • Hospitality for the whole team. Drivers, Coaches, Crew and Guests are all included.

  • Coffees, snacks, and soothies ready for grab and go. Conviently located on pit lane.

  • We believe in community and sharing the sport we all love with your loved ones. Hospitality is open to all.

  • Racing can beat you up, let us help with that. Free physio services available to all drivers on a first come first serve basis. By appointment bookings are also available at an additional cost.

Team Services

  • On site tire service and sales are available to all participants.

  • We’ll handle the drums so that you don’t have to.

  • One stop shop. We have you, your team and your drivers accounted for. All included with event entry.
